He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Randle Monk and Euneta Mae Pope; his grandparents, Ida Craig and William David Monk; his stepmother Anne Monk; his wife Sarah; and his sister Diane Carter.
He is survived by: his children, Randy (Misti) and Karen A. Monk; and his grandson Matthew David Monk.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (105 N Montgomery St, Gilmer, TX 75644). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Glade Creek Cemetery.
