He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Frederick and Thelma Ann Fatherree (Adcock); and his siblings, Charles Fatherree, J. W. Fatherree and Mildred Fatherree Milligan.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Lee Fatherree (Baker); his children, Tammy Mitchell (Mark) and Rickey Fatherree (Aleshia); and his siblings, Jean Brice, Maxine Pierce, Willie, Leon and Curtis Fatherree. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 bonus grandchildren; 11 bonus great grandchildren; 1 bonus great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Concord Missionary Baptist Church (6995 Concord Church Rd, Gilmer, TX 75644). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Merk's contributions to his church were immeasurable.
