He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Fortson and Inez Fortson of New Braunfels; and his siblings, Deanna Fortson of Kerrville and Giles Fortson. He is survived by: his wife Laura Fortson; his children, Larry Fortson Jr. of Columbus Ohio, Sherry Neumann of Pottsboro, Traci Battles of Andice and Brian Fortson of Wilmington, Delaware; and his grandchildren, Iain Fortson of College Station, Erin Neumann, Caleb Neumann, Cara Neumann of Pottsboro, Brendan Battles, Emma Battles of Andice and Ila Fortson of Wilmington.
