It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lamon Eloise Geddie of Gilmer, Texas, born in Galveston, Texas, who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband D. L. "Lonnie" Geddie; her son James Dewey Geddie; her parents, James Evan and Eloise Shipp Gavin; and her grandfathers, Otis Oscar and Franklin Josphine Shipp.
She is survived by: her daughter Chandra Sorrells (Jeff) of Gilmer; her sisters, Lynda Gavin Teasley of McKinney and Janie Gavin of Los Angeles, California.; her grandsons, Raymond, Nicholas, Samuel and Zachary Sorrells of Gilmer; and her nieces and nephews, Wendy Wood Alexander of Gilmer, Kristin Wood Thurston of Colorado, Michael Wood of Carrollton and Craig Teasley of Colorado.
In honor of Lamon's life well-lived, donations may be made to the First Methodist Church, 105 N. Montgomery St., Gilmer, Texas 75644.
