He was predeceased by: his parents, Erie Clinton and Erma Leah Elms Carter; his niece Julia Ann Boyd; and his nephew Ricky Carter. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Fountain; and his nieces and nephews, Trina Cloud, Laura Wilson, Diane Baker, Kathy Jo Lindley, David Boyd, Marty McLendon, Gary, Kathy Sue Kennimer and David Kennimer.
