He is survived by: his wife Nona Frances Caldwell; his sons, Dickie Wayne Helpenstill, Paul Helpenstill and Jimmy Clinton Helpenstill; and his siblings, Alice Shipman, Roy Helpenstill, Vernon Helpenstill and Troy Helpenstill.
