He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Collins and Lorene P. Collins. He is survived by: his sisters, Cindy Jackson (Gil) and Jeannie Rodriguez (David). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the pandemic, the family will be holding a private Celebration of James' Life.
