It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James David Carter Sr. of Gilmer, Texas, who passed away on April 3, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carter and Mary Anne Simmons Carter; his wife Deborah Carter; and his sister Charlotte Diane Gentry. He is survived by: his children, James David Carter, Jr. (Dana), Mary Jenkins, Charlotte Lyons and Susie Carter; and his siblings, Dennis Carter (Tina) and Debra Carter. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
