He is survived by: his wife Frances Ann Bain Thomas; his sons, Timothy Bain Thomas and Taft Hugh Thomas (Kathleen Fenn Thomas); his son-in-law Lelon Rex Smith Jr.; his grandchildren, Heather Michelle Steelman, Jessica Anne Kelley, Crystal Lynn Smith, Maren Grey Thomas, Laurel Ann Thomas and Kyle Redding Thomas; and his sister-in-law Billie Louise Franks Thomas.
