He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Smith, Sr. and Jean Cleaver Smith; and his daughter-in-law April Elrod. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Smith (Julia DuFour), Robert Alex Smith and Ashley Smith (Nathan Britt); his grandchildren, Aurora, Gwyndolyn, Juna Smith and Kellan Britt; his sister Barbara Bryant; his girlfriend Linda Miller; and the mother of his children Lisa Smith.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bates Cooper Sloan Chapel (2805 S Jefferson Ave, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
