It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Douglas Dean Reeves of Gilmer, Texas, who passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Travis Reeves and Margaret Reeves (Childs); his wife Betty Reeves; his son Michael Reeves; and his brothers, Raymond Reeves and Larry Reeves.
He is survived by: his daughter Kristie Hutto; his siblings, Gary Reeves (Cathy) and Patti Danner (Rick); his granddaughter Shelby Laastad (Danny); and his great grandchildren, Trigger and River Laastad.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home - Gilmer (305 W Harrison St, Gilmer, TX 75644). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at the Rosewood Cemetery (8261 Arrowwood Rd, Gilmer, TX 75755).
