It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Burr of Gilmer, Texas, born in Converse, Louisiana, who passed away on August 16, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Louis and Addie Lee Longoria Burr; his son Donald Wayne Burr; and his siblings, Barbara Brown, Gary Burr, Alice Fort, Catherine Davis, Elvin Burr, Mabel Mancil, Burnes Burr, Charles Burr, Hazel Ford, William Burr, Robert Louis Burr, Jr., Pallbearers, Jayden Stephens, B. J. Stephens, Brent Stephens, Melesio Maldonado, Mike Myers and Tyler Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Bates; his daughter Sherri Stephens (Brent); his daughter-in-law Tammy Smith; his sister Charlene Todd; his grandchildren, Tayna Kaye Moore (Tyler), Fallon Sue Keagan, Sean Edwin Keegan, McKenzie Myers, Caitlin Jane Keegan, B. J. Stephens and Jayden Stephens; and his great grandchildren, Teagan Jane and Tinley Ann Moore.
He was a member of Charity Baptist Church, Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
