Verna Mae Becker Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna Mae Becker (Giddings, Texas), who passed away on January 13, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Louise Boettcher (Mueller) and Albert Boettcher; her granddaughter Brianna Nichole Becker; her brother Winston Boettcher Sr.; her siblings-in-law, Marvin and Alice Becker; and her nephew Jimmy Becker.
She is survived by: her husband Monroe Becker of Serbin; her children, Allan Becker (Julie) of Serbin, Allene Schramm (David) of La Grange, Donald Becker (Teresa) of Giddings and Beverly Ramos (Nick) of Giddings; her grandchildren, Jennifer Selby (Chad) of Allen, Scott Schramm (Sherry) of Warda, Amber Schramm (Kory Moerbe) of Warda, Jared Becker of Giddings, Ben Ramos of Giddings and Jessica Ramos of College Station; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Caitlyn Selby of Allen, Brayden, Brenna Schramm of Warda, Maya, Alahni Ramos of Giddings, Ashton and Levi Akin of College Station; her siblings, Maurice Boettcher of La Grange and Doris Chovanec (Clarence) of La Grange; and her siblings-in-law, Annette Foerster (Charlie) of Lincoln, Elbert Becker (Adelia) of Serbin and Eldor Becker (Lori) of Serbin.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jared Becker, Scott Schramm, Chad Selby, Gary Becker, Jason Becker, and Winston Boettcher Jr. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund, the St. Paul Lutheran LWML Video Ministry Fund, the Giddings American Legion Auxiliary York Post 276 or to the charity of one's choice.
