He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Emil Grimm and Annie Marie Grimm (Bohot); his brother-in-law Thomas "Tommy" Johnson; and his parents-in-law, Ernst and Irene Wiesenhutter.
He is survived by: his sons, Matthew (Kim Grimm), Timothy (Lisa Grimm) and Philip (Faydra Grimm); his wife Louise Grimm of Giddings; his grandchildren, Matthew Grimm Jr. of Giddings, James Grimm of College Station, Naomi Grimm of Giddings, Ashton Grimm of Giddings, Andrew Grimm of College Station, Rustin Grimm of Giddings, Kallie Grimm of Giddings, Peyton Grimm of Giddings and Aubrey Grimm of Giddings; his sisters, Irene Ullrich (Glenn) of Austin, Bernice Crim of Cedar Park and Annie Mae Johnson of Georgetown; and his brother-in-law Harold Wiesenhutter (Virginia) of Round Rock. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
