He is survived by: his children, Paul "Pistol" Kappler II (Kim) of Lake Jackson and Sandi Kaye Dunlap (Doug) of Fulshear; his grandchildren, Kristin Kappler of Lake Jackson, Ashley (Alex Nichols), Lindsey Kappler of Atlanta, GA, Korynne Kappler of Lake Jackson, Kayla Cooper (Alarius) of Ft. Worth and Stefanie Dunlap of Los Angeles, CA; his great grandchildren, Liam, Quinn and Arya Nichols of San Antonio; his sister Jeanette Mitschke of Houston; and his sisters-in-law, Loyce Bundik (Don) of Sublime and Sue Gest of Pearland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin or to the charity of one's choice.
