He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Albert Hannes Sr. and Lorine Elnora Hannes (Mitschke); his sister Gloria Conklin; and his brothers-in-law, Alvin Conklin, Brian Kelley and Jerry Bray.
He is survived by: his siblings, Alvin Jr. (Susan Hannes), Jimmy Hannes, Harold Hannes, Pat Kelley of Iowa and Debbie Bray of Mississippi. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
