He is survived by: his children, Guadalupe (Ruben Rodriguez) of Giddings, Candi Rivera of Giddings, Christina Rivera of Giddings, Maurilio Rivera Jr. of Giddings, Miriam Rivera of Giddings and Jose Antonio "Tony" Rivera of Giddings; his grandchildren, Ruben Rodriguez Jr., Jennifer Rodriguez of Giddings, Damian Rodriguez of Giddings, Noah Pantoja of Giddings, Pricila Burns of Giddings, Jonathan Burns of Giddings, Celest Burns of Giddings, Charles Burns of Giddings and Felipe Rivera of Giddings; and his sisters, Olga Rivera Segura (Baldo Grimaldo) and Canda Rivera Segura (Julian Garcia). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
