She was predeceased by: her husband William Henry Gaeke; her parents, August Fretwell and Chispa Fretwell; her daughter Loretta Ehler; her brother-in-law Edmond Gaeke; and her sisters, Elizabeth, Florine, June and Hazel.
She is survived by: her daughter Penny (Charlie Kornegay) of Bryan; her son-in-law David Ehler (Gayla) of Flatonia; and her grandchildren, Chris Kornegay of Austin, Nikki Kornegay of Austin, Amy (Alex Roman) of Waco, David "DJ" Ehler (Sannu) of La Grange and Jason Ehler (Julie) of Abilene. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
