He was predeceased by: his parents, Horatio Black and Mary Catherine Weatherly Black. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn Black of Giddings; his children, Rhondda Black of Houston and Mark Black of Giddings; his grandchildren, Hannah Taylor Black of Carthage and Rebekah Kate Black of Carthage; his sister Carolyn Biggs (Ronnie) of Tucson; and his nephews, Jerry Hendrix of Tucson and Steve Hendrix of Tucson. He is also survived by numerous cousins and other relatives.
