She was predeceased by: her parents, Matilde Muniz and Rosa Muniz (Esparza); her spouse Fidencio "Lanch" Barrera; her siblings, Theodore Muniz, Genaro Muniz (Eva), Howard Muniz, Lupe Redkey (Malcolm), Josie Kuntz (Fred), Marie Muniz (Maurilio), Kay Chew (Alfred) and Lorene Holman; and her brother-in-law Fred Silgero.
She is survived by: her siblings, Louis Muniz Sr. (Andrea) of Giddings, Gloria Guajardo (Ben) of Georgetown, Frances Silgero of Magnolia and Hope Holman (Clyde) of Amarillo; and her siblings-in-law, Teresa Muniz of Giddings and Norman Holman of Giddings. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
