He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Garza and Francisca Garza (Flores); his daughter Yolanda Nunez; his grandson German Garcia; and his siblings, Guadalupe, Vicente, Paz, Nazario and Carmelo.
He is survived by: his wife Socorro Garza of Giddings; his children, Jose I. Garza III (Felisha) of Giddings, Jesus Garza of California, Marycela Padgett of Giddings, Francisca of California, Josie of California, Elizabeth of California and Aurora of California; and his siblings, Nicolasa Garza (Eli) of Elsa and Loretto Garza of Tamaulipas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
