He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Crull and Dorothy Crull (Hoffman); and his son-in-law Gene Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Shane Hoffman (Sharon) of Giddings, John Hoffman (Sandra Hinds) of Bastrop, Corey Hoffman (Iva Antuna) of Giddings, Shelly Hughes of Pennsylvania and Traci Hoffman of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Zach Hoffman of La Grange, Bryan, Amanda Parks of La Grange, Jessica, Robert Ore of Bastrop, Nicole, Nasir Mohamud of Minnesota, Christian Parks of La Grange, Shawn, Sara Mayer of Minnesota, Bill Mayer of Minnesota, Shanna Lindenfelser (Stephen) of Pennsylvania and Elaina Wolfe of Pennsylvania; and his siblings, Roberta Hammaker of Pennsylvania and Bob Hoffman of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
