He is survived by: his children, Heather Deters (Greg) of Winchester and Jerry Hielscher (Amber) of La Grange; his granddaughters, Hadley Deters of Winchester and Scout Hielscher of La Grange; his brother Scott Hielscher (Cindy) of Winchester; his niece Ashley Koenning (Jacob) of Rockport; his nephew Chuck Hielscher of Winchester; his aunt Mary Watts (Kenneth); and his cousins, Kirt Watts, Kelli Bloxham (Chris), Jordan Davis (Shawn), McKay Bloxham, Parker Jo Davis and Chandler Davis.
