He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Bowen and Dellla Pearl Bowen (Wallis); his daughter Kimberly Bock; his son-in-law Calvin Davenport; his siblings, Juanita, Lesley Brittain, Clark Bowen, Ivan Bowen, Floyd, Rosie Bowen, Myrtle Nolin-Fox, Tennie Dell Blankinship, John "Jimbo" Bowen and Lorraine Wooden; his parent-in-law Howell; and his grandmother Viola Starns.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Bowen of Giddings; his children, Belinda Davenport of Reagan Wells and Jack Bowen Jr. of Spicewood; and his grandchildren, Sarai Bowen of Idaho, Hunter Bowen of Spicewood, Amber, Scott Perkins of Reagan Wells, Clay Davenport (Alexis) of San Angelo, Lyle, Katie Davenport of San Angelo, Brandon, Gerri Schautschick of Giddings, Jessa, Austin Mattocks of Giddings, Rayanne, Murdock Patterson of Giddings and Jeremy Bock of Giddings. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
