He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Kovar and Lidia May Kovar (Allcorn); his siblings, Walker "Buster" Kovar, Robert "Bob" Kovar, Herman "Ham" Kovar and Bernice Longoria; and his great grandchild Braeden Estes.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Kovar (Ihio) of Giddings; his sons, Daniel Kovar of Manheim and Wendel Kovar of Manheim; his grandchildren, Krystal Estes (Dustin), Clarissa Kovar of Lincoln, Faith Irwin (Thomas), Autumn Varvel (Nick), Kara Taylor (Casey), Kyle Smith (Michelle DeGerolami), Kursten Robertson (Daniel) and Jean Kovar (Mason Origg) of Big Springs; and his siblings, Billie Brinkman (Henry), Pattsy Bollier of Industry, Polly Corbin, Alice Price of Wortham and Johnny Kovar (LeAnne Diab) of Thorndale. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home - Giddings (3950 E Austin St, Giddings, TX 78942). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (300 N Grimes St, Giddings, TX 78942).
Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the charity of one's choice.
