With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Ann Wallace Newey of Georgetown, Texas, born in Edinburg, Texas, who passed away on January 28, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Wallace and Jane Wallace; her in-laws, Daniel and Cathryn Newey; her husband Daniel Hitchings Newey III; her daughter Carolyn Elizabeth Newey; her brother-in-law Milton Kersten; her great grandchild Isabelle Tahlia Riley; and her pet Daisy Dinky Ripps.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Newey Ripps (Robert) and Daniel Hitchings Newey IV of Edinburg; her granddaughters, Cathryn Ripps Landry (Noble) of Georgetown and Sarah Ripps Riley (Daniel) of Georgetown; her great grandchildren, Mason Bailey, Adonis Landry, Scarlette Riley, Piper Riley and Felicity Riley; her sister Betty W Kersten of Weslaco; her nieces and nephews, Michael, Holly Kersten of San Antonio, Jeffrey, Margo Kersten of College Station, Rebecca, Mark, Matthew Macomber of Atlanta Georgia, Andrew Burton of San Antonio, Hank Kersten of Portland Oregon, Katie Burton of San Antonio, Tommy, Sarah, Levi Kersten of Cypress and Megan Kersten of Cypress; and her brother-in-law Robert (Judy Newey).
