He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Marshall and Elizabeth Marshall; and his parents-in-law, Brady and Daisy Wadsworth. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia of Georgetown; his son Robert "Bob" Austin Marshall Jr.; his daughter-in-law Sarah Marshall of Omaha, Nebraska; his daughter Ruth Elizabeth; his son-in-law John McEntire of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Jay, Emily McEntire and Robert "Trip" Austin Marshall III; his siblings-in-law, Candy Wadsworth, John Wadsworth and Cindy Garcia (Carlos); and his nieces and nephews, Stacy Faison, John Wadsworth (Danielle), Ali Faison, Heath Wadsworth (Devon), Joy Wadsworth (Eric), Marcus Wells and Justin Wells.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 3:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home (5600 Williams Dr, Georgetown, TX 78633). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Memories Memorial Park (5205 S First St, Lufkin, TX 75901).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation.
