It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Poortinga of Georgetown, Texas, who passed away on August 4, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Poortinga and Frances Poortinga. He is survived by: his wife Charmaine; his brother Kenneth Poortinga; and his sons, James Poortinga (Rebecca), Brent Poortinga (Jennifer), Eric Poortinga (Shannon) and Ryan Poortinga (Kelly). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
The family requests that people make donations to the Crestview Baptist Church, in lieu of sending flowers.
