Payne and Alva Myrel Payne; his granddaughter Bliss Payne; his brother Richard; his sister-in-law Pat Payne; his wife Dee; his sister Shirley Owens; his children, Kristin (Jimmy McWilliams), Lynn (Steve Bittinger), Daniel (Jeanne) and Jon (Leah); his grandchildren, Alan, Dondi Cherry, Jason, Felicia Green, Kimberly Tidwell, Alicia Green, Alex Payne, Emily Varnell, Dakota and Kristal Payne; his nieces, Cheryl Bowie, Rhonda Shaffer, Valerie Loewer and Joanna Hambrick; and his nephew Mike Payne.
