He is survived by: his wife Carrie Goodnight Johnson; his brothers, Bruce Johnson (Debby) of Marble Falls and Patrick Johnson of Round Rock; his stepchildren, Troy Lovell (Suji) of San Antonio and Carol Middleton (John) of Austin; his son David Weaver of Houston; his grandchildren, Amanda, Caylee, Kyle, Cody and Kaci; his great grandchildren, Gabriel and Connor; and his nieces, Whitney, Jane, Maddie and Tess.

“Dave and Carrie have been wonderful next door neighbors! Dave frequently told me that he loved to share "IP" (intellectual property) and I absolutely took advantage of it! Not a day would pass in which I wouldn't throw a question over the fence at him and always get some great IP back. In the short time since Dave passed, I've probably had a minimum of a dozen new IP questions for him and am reminded with every one of them how much he is missed! Rest Peacefully friend!
