He was predeceased by: his parents, Hattie Petru and Charles Petru Sr.; his brothers, Clem Petru and Laddie Petru; and his brother-in-law Ward Perry.
He is survived by: his wife Vera; his daughter Janice Bowman; his grandchildren, Brittney Bowman, Brandan Bowman and Bailey Bowman; and his siblings, Ben Petru (Lois), Dorothy Perry, Ed Petru (Dorothy) and Larry Petru (Brenda).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Helen's Catholic School, the Holy Trinity Catholic Church building fund, the Association of Marian Helpers in Stockbridge, or the Tunnel to Towers organization.
