She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard M. Stroud and Reba Stroud Franks (Williams); her daughter-in-law Melissa Walden; and her grandchildren, Sherah, Shelah and Jonathan Walden.

She is survived by: her husband Gerald M. Walden; her children, Jerry Walden (Darlene) and Tempa Herman (Greg); her siblings, Wava Howley, Glenda Moore, Sherrell Rodgers (Gary) and Avon Franks (Jackie); her grandchildren, Blake Herman (Shana), Megan Herman, Randy Woodworth (Molly) and Jim Woodworth (Jill); and her great grandchildren, James Herman, Connor Herman, Dakota Woodworth, Seeka Woodworth, Claire Woodworth and Max Woodworth.
