We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2020, at the age of 87, Ernan Cortez Jr. of George West, Texas, born in Oakville, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernan A. Cortez, Sr. and Maria Cortez (Angino); and his wife Isabel Elizondo Cortez. He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia Miller (Blant) of George West; his grandchildren, Marcus N. Miller and Morgan Christine Miller; his daughter Corina Cortez of Washington, D. C.; his grandchildren, Christina Cortez-Gaza (Mike) of San Antonio and Blake Michael Gaza; his son Edward (Susan) of Corpus Christi; his grandchildren, Emily Claire, Kelly Nicole and Jack Edward; his son Mark (Brooke) of Celina; his grandchildren, John Caleb, Marissa Isabel and Joshua Marc; his siblings, Delia Gutierrez of Oakville, Texas, Delfina Davila (Joe) of Oakville, Texas, Richard Cortez (Maria Luisa) of Alice, George Cortez (Dora) of Three Rivers and Alfredo Lopez (Lupita) of Corpus Christi, Texas.; and his grandsons, John Caleb Cortez, Jack Edward Cortez, Joshua Marc Cortez, Cosme Arciba, Pepe Garcia, Edmund Garza and Doyle Kornegay.
