He was predeceased by: his parents, Denvil Light and Lottie Workman Light; and his son Donald Light, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Janet Light; his children, Kimberly Womack (Michael) of Corpus Christi and Corey Light (Rebecca) of Frisco; his grandchildren, Jordyn Klement (Allen), Nathan Womack, Dalton Light, Emma Womack and Devon Light; and his great grandchildren, Kara Klement and Luke Klement.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the South Texas Botanical Gardens in Corpus Christi.
