He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" David Walton and Virginia Walton (Massey); his sisters, Aliene Skinner, Ilamae Hines, Deama Lemley, Ivalee Bridges and Willie Ruth Ford; and his daughter Belinda Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Viola Hummel of George West; his brother John Walton (Wanda) of George West; and his children, Mark Walton of George West, Julie Gay Lewis of George West, Pete West of Virginia, James Shoemaker of East, Michael Hummel of California, Nichelle Hummel (Joseph Lennon) of George West and Tamara Wheeler (David) of Iowa.
His life was characterized by hard work and dedication, particularly in his career as a water well driller, and he made significant contributions to his community.
