She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Hines (Lemley) and Joe Hines; her siblings, Jimmy, Tom, Euel, Virginia, Margie, Mary Lois and Edna Merle; her husband Bobby Jess Barter; and her son Bobby Barter (Booger Bob).
She is survived by: her grandsons, Bandera Jess Barter, Jesse Samuel Barter (Sarah), Brantley and Adelyn; her adoptive son David Barter; and her siblings, Charlie (Polly), Evelyn Hines Johnson (Fred) and Myrtle Nell Custer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
