He was predeceased by: his wife Graciela Garcia; and his children, Ray Gonzales (Alice) of Floresville, Abelino Gonzales Jr (Francis), George West, Mario Gonzales (Chris) of Dallas, Roxann Sotelo of George West and Rhonda Ortiz (Gerry) of San Antonio. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
