He was predeceased by: his parents, William Woodrow and Lorene Tipton (Nichols); his son James Matthew Tipton; and his brother Emmitt "Leroy" Tipton. He is survived by: his wife Geneva Tipton; his son Lee "Tater" Tipton; his siblings, Kelvin Tipton (Kaye) and Nikki Branscum (Mark); his grandchildren, Avery Hall and Luke Hall; and his brother-in-law Wesley Shaw.
