She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest James Wilson and Maudie Pearl Wilson (Stubbs); and her husband Roy Lee McGaugh. She is survived by: her children, Rhonna Carter (Sissy) of Izoro, Texas, Steve McGaugh (Linda) of Izoro, Texas, Tim McGaugh (Jana) of Sanger, Texas, Roy McGaugh (Sara) of Izoro, Texas and Joy McGaugh Puente of Fairhope, Alabama. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Ruth requested donations be made to the Sunset International Bible Institute, 3723 34th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79410-2895.
