He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann Hargraves; his parents, Rodger G. Hargraves and Lucile Hargraves; and his siblings, John Edward Hargraves, Gerty Stuckey and Freddy Hargraves.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Ray Hargraves (Lisa) of Connecticut, Brenda Ray (Eddie) of Gatesville, Rodger Hargraves Jr. (Becky Miller) of Pennsylvania, Jeffery Hargraves (Teresita) of Cransfills Gap and Tracy Dowdle (Kevin) of Gatesville, Texas.; his stepchildren, Laura Butts French of Conroe and Chris Butts (Stacey) of Vidor; and his sister Opal Faye Hargraves Broussard of Louisiana. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor (1750 TX-12, Vidor, TX 77662). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Vidor Memorial Funeral Home (1750 TX-12, Vidor, TX 77662). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Park (2725 N Main St, Vidor, TX 77662).
