He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Escobar Sr. and Helen Ochoa Escobar; and his sister Marian Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Helen Escobar; his stepson Robert Logan; and his grandson Vaughan Logan. He is also survived by numerous cousins; and a wealth of friends.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Scott's Funeral Home (2425 E Main St, Gatesville, TX 76528). A burial will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
