He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Grissom and Annie Grissom (Odom); his son John T. Grissom; and his great grandchild Bentley Reece Kee. He is survived by: his wife Celye Grissom (Ruggles); his daughters, Melinda Amspacher (Vernon) and Melissa Shelburne (Jim Shelburne); and his brother Melvin Grissom. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
