It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nita Jane Ballard in Gatesville, Texas, who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones, keeping Nita Jane's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Herrington and Stella Cox Herrington; and her spouse Bertis Lynn Ballard. She is survived by: her children, Mark Ballard (Barbara) and Tami Ballard; and her grandson Bryan Ballard (Kari). She is also survived by three great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
A reception was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Scott's Funeral Home (2425 E Main St, Gatesville, TX 76528).
