He was predeceased by: his parents, Watson Whitaker and Alma Mitchell Whitaker; his wife Daisy Whitaker; his siblings, Lola Hogg and Hiram Whitaker; and his children-in-law, Mary Kay Hinesley and Billy Frank McGlothlin.
He is survived by: his children, George Whitaker (Penny) of Gatesville, Lewis Hinesley (Brenda Ward) of Moody and Betty McGlothlin of Gadsden, Alabama; his siblings, Wilma Holden, Mary Halcomb, Cena Graves, Linda Day, Wood Whitaker, Willis Whitaker and Wendell Whitaker; his grandchildren, Karen McGlothlin, Joel McGlothlin, Bobby McGlothlin, Leah Guynes, Kari Vick, Lesli Baker and Lauren Whitaker; his great grandchildren, Molly McGlothlin, Katy Provenzano, Dillon Baker, Levi Baker, Kolby Rocco and Shelby Lara; and his great great grandchildren, Magnolia Provenzano, Michael Provenzano and Cole Rocco.
