It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Valenca of Gatesville, Texas, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Allen Valenca; and her grandsons, Isaac Bueno and Cameron Valenca. She is survived by: her children, Rob Valenca (Donna) and Kara Valenca-Yocom; her grandchildren, Devin, Shelbi Valenca, Bethany Hurtado, Christopher Bueno, Hannah Bueno, Matthew Yocom, Aaron Yocom and Kaitlyn Yocom; and her great grandchild Laura Hurtado.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Scott's Funeral Home (2425 E Main St, Gatesville, TX 76528). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
