She was predeceased by: her father Floyd Edward Maxey; her husband Don Scott; her mother Dora Gentry Pharis (Gentry); her stepparents, Jack L. Pharis and Ona Matherly; and her brother Loren Martin.
She is survived by: her son David L. Scott; her grandson Alexander Scott of Gatesville; her stepson Steve Scott of Peralta; and her brother Larry Martin (Barbara Jo) of Heber Springs, Arkansas..
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Scott's Funeral Home (2425 E Main St, Gatesville, TX 76528).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews at 303 East Wacker Drive, Suite 2300 Chicago, IL 60601-5224 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place.
