She was predeceased by: her parents, Carrie Lois Gameson and Marvin Lowrey Downey; her brother Merwin Leon Downey; and her stepson Ronald Kaatz. She is survived by: her husband Robert Kaatz (Bob); her daughter Lycia; her son-in-law Michael Evanoff; her grandchildren, Matthew Dickenson (Jennifer), Emily Spuza (Preston) and Parker Dickenson; her great grandchildren, Henry Spuza, Tegan Spuza, Quincy Spuza, Zoe Dickenson and Oliver Dickenson; and her sister-in-law Joan Downey.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hawthorn Funeral Home (307 W Wellington St, Carthage, TX 75633). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Tenaha Church of Christ.
