He is survived by: his children, David Jerry Scogin (Shawn) of Lubbock and Jennifer Martinez (Jesus) of Logan Community; his sister Joyce Morton of Gary; and his nieces and nephews, Loretta (Mike Mason), Pebbles (David Davis), Bobbie (Johnny Hall), Ashley Marie Scogin, Amanda (Doug Powell), Angela Bynum and Robert Morton.
