He is survived by: his wife Susan "Susie" M. Freda (Hahn); his children, Joseph "Joey" Tuten (Rachel) of Mississippi, Cary Kasten (Matthew) of Illinois, Marlana Palmiero (Gesuino) of San Antonio, Edward Gary Freda III of El Paso, Cristy Hernandez (Victor) of El Paso and Michelle Lewis (Jeremy) of Arizona; his grandchildren, Juliana, Jackson, Marshall, Wesley, Haylee, Kaytlynn, Andruw, Kylie, Keira, Jayden and Ashtyn; and his goddaughter Maegan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in Gary's honor, can be made to Rock Steady Boxing of El Paso, 10950 Pellicano Dr Suite B-2, El Paso, TX 79935. "Fighting back against Parkinson's" "Death takes the body. God takes the soul. Our mind holds the memories. Our heart keeps the love.
