She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Hoelscher (Herzik) and John Joseph Hoelscher; her husband Henry Steelman Underwood; her siblings, Janie Mae Fikac, Rose Marie Svetlik, Joe, Andrew and James Hoelscher; and her brothers-in-law, Donald Berger and Paul Lipinsky.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Lehman (Steve); her grandchildren, Jenny and Jake; her children, John Henry Underwood (Natalie) and Rose Ellermann (Gary); her grandchildren, Alexis and Leah; and her siblings, John Hoelscher (Susan), Michael Hoelscher (Karen), Katherine Berger, Carolyn Shutts (Don) and Barbara Lipinsky. She is also survived by 10 great- grandchildren.
